Ferric chloride (FeCl3)

In a liquid form, ferric chloride is an orange-brown aqueous solution that has a faint hydrochloric acid odor. It is highly corrosive to metals as well as organic tissues.

The main application is water treatment. The product is particularly effective in the purification of drinking water, in the purification of wastewater by "thickening" the sediment (ferric chloride added together with lime before the filter press), and for dephosphatising wastewater.

Kuhlmann Europe is a major producer of ferric chloride with production taking place at several sites using diverse streams of raw materials. We offer different qualities of FeCl₃ and FeCl₂. We also supply mixtures of FeCl₃ and FeCl₂. Deliveries are made in bulk, tank trucks, containers, or barges.
